A Genuine WWII Operation Bernhard Counterfeit Banknote
This is your opportunity to own a piece of history from one of the most intriguing chapters of our past, with a genuine Operation Bernhard Banknote, from the bold Nazi WW2 plot.
For the first time ever, CPM Prestige is offering an exclusive chance for just 50 collectors to own a genuine PMG-certified ‘Operation Bernhard’ banknote, retrieved from the mysterious depths of Lake Toplitz.
Here's why it's a CPM Recomendation...
- In 1942, the Nazis initiated a covert operation to destabilize Allied economies by producing counterfeit banknotes on a massive scale. These expertly forged notes, mimicking British pound notes, were designed to wreak economic havoc and divert vital resources from the war effort.
- As the war came to an end in 1945, the operation was abandoned, and most of the counterfeit notes were dumped into Lake Toplitz in Austria to hide the evidence. In 1959, the German newspaper “Der Stern” sponsored a recovery mission, and only a few of these notes were ever found. We believe we have secured the majority of these rare artifacts.
- Each note is PMG-certified as a genuine piece of history, a rare collectible that few will ever have the opportunity to own.
