Why this is the first Canadian 1/4oz Gold I’ve recommended for years

• A replica of Canada’s 1953 Coronation Medal

• Struck from a 1/4oz of .9999 Pure Gold

• Limited to just 1,200 Proof coins

• The first 1/4oz Gold Proof coin from Canada we’ve offered for years

Why I recommend the Canada 2018 Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Gold Proof 1/4oz…

4 years ago The Royal Canadian Mint launched a series of 1/4oz Gold Proof coins in the run-up to Her Majesty becoming our longest reigning monarch. 1,500 coins were issued and since then I have been waiting for the Canadians to issue another 1/4oz Gold to recommend. This is it.

Issued to mark the 65th Anniversary of Her Majesty’s Coronation, it’s based on the coronation medal issued in 1953 that was given to EVERY school child.

Most importantly, it has been limited to just 1,200 coins. Put that alongside the UK Proof Sovereign, which sold out all 10,500 coins this year and you see why this is my top recommendation.
