Limited to 2,500 – The officially approved Silver £5 for the RAF Centenary

• Just 2,500 coins to be issued to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the formation of the RAF

• The first officially approved British Isles Silver £5 coin to be released to mark the anniversary

• Authorised by the Ministry of Defence

• Struck from Sterling Silver to an impeccable Proof finish

Why I recommend The RAF Centenary Silver Proof Five Pound Coin…

The official coins marking the centenary of the formation of the RAF have just been announced and at the heart of them is this, the only officially approved British Isles Silver £5 coin.

It features the RAF logo above three aircraft specially selected to demonstrate the developments of the RAF over the last 100 years: Sopwith Camel (WWI), the Supermarine Spitfire (WWII) and Lockheed Lightning II (present).

Surprisingly, it has been given an edition limit of just 995. Can that be enough for an anniversary as important as this for an institution that means so much to so many?
